Jaira Cross Child
Jaira Cross Child is an athlete and a student. She is in grade 11 and she competes in the sport of track and field and cross country. When she is not training with the Saskatoon Track and Field club, studying, or working at Brainsport you can find her either spending time with her friends and family, writing and reading at one of her favourite coffee shops, enjoying the outdoors, or sharing her story about her family's journey with other youth. Jaira is a 3x provincial champion. She won the 3k midget cross country race, and she has two provincial gold medals in the 3000m. Jaira also competed in the North American Indigenous games in Toronto this past summer and brought home 5 gold medals for Team Saskatchewan. Jaira loves helping with Child of the Cross Running Clinics and sharing the joy of running with young athletes.
